Javier Lopez is a student-writer at Fresno State University where he is in his first year MFA candidacy in the Creative Writing and Editing & Publishing program. He is a graduate of California State University Chico where he completed a BA in English Studies where he also worked as a lead poetry editor and anthology editor/designer for Watershed Review. Currently he works as a reader of poetry for Normal School Literary Magazine and an associate editor/reader for the Philip Levine Poetry Prize put on by Fresno State. He also works as Treasurer for the long standing Chicanx Writers and Artists Association. His short poems are forthcoming in the November issue of Hummingbird.
